EPA Lead Based Paint Disclosure and Pamphlet | Purchase | Rental

The lead based paint disclosure form is used because of the Residential Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Act of 1992 which made it a requirement for all landlords and sellers of residential property to report the existence of this hazard. This form is only used for residences built before 1978. The form, whether a landlord or seller, must be attached to any lease agreement or purchase and sale contract and signed. The brochure explaining the effects and how to locate lead paint must be given to the tenant or buyer as well.
