A North Dakota Limited Power of Attorney Form is used when the Principal wishes to give the Attorney-in-Fact authority over a single aspect of the Principal’s finances. This is usually to perform a specific action on behalf of the Principal, such as buying a car or filing tax returns.
A Limited Power of Attorney Form is usually Immediate, and will therefore go into effect immediately upon signing, although exceptions do exist. This agreement is often considered a safer, more secure Power of Attorney agreement. It is typically used by a Principal who is both legally and physically capable of performing the action the Attorney-in-Fact is charged with, but wishes to delegate the action contained in the agreement.
