Tennessee Medical Power of Attorney Form

A Tennessee Medical Power of Attorney Form gives the Attorney-in-Fact the authority to make decisions about the Principal’s medical treatments and health care. These agreements are always Durable and almost always Springing, as they will be of little use while the Principal is capable of making their own decisions about their health care.

The Principal should be aware that, under Tennessee state law, all Medical Power of Attorney agreements will also include a Living Will, with the combined form being known as an Advance Health Care Directive. The Principal should therefore make sure that they trust their Attorney-in-Fact with their End of Life Care in addition to their medical treatments, as the Attorney-in-Fact will be responsible for carrying out those wishes as well.
