The Alaska rental application is a form used by property owners to verify the credentials of a prospective tenant that include; income, employment, previous landlord(s), background, and their credit report. All possible tenants must sign off verifying that their information provided is accurate and true and the landlord is allowed to charge the applicant a fee (usually between $25 to $40).
The processing time depends on how thorough of a verification the landlord decides to do. Most property owners will just run a routine credit check while others will check with every reference about the character of the individual.
- Upon approval, the parties will negotiate a lease agreement and a contract will be authorized.
