The Kansas residential lease is an agreement for twelve (12) months between a tenant making monthly payments and a landlord for the use of livable property. Before signing an agreement, there will be a review period for the landlord to determine if the tenant is suitable for a lease by filling in the rental application. A fee may be required as well, along with personal information such as the tenant’s Social Security and Driver’s License numbers.

Once approved, the tenant will be issued an agreement that will be completed with the details as negotiated. At this time the Security Deposit is due and the tenant shall be issued the move-in checklist.
