Our Louisiana Month to Month Lease Agreement is used by owners of residential property who wish to offer their property for rent on a monthly basis. By using this type of lease agreement, both parties are flexible to opt out of the agreement by giving Ten (10) days written notice before the end of the month.
Under Louisiana law, it’s important to make sure that if you are renting with other roommates, you are careful about co-signing a lease. If one or more roommates moves out or damages the property, you and any others on the lease will be held responsible.
Landlords may still charge a security deposit on a monthly lease agreement. The same procedures are still in tact when the tenant moves out and request the security deposit back. Landlord has to return deposit 1 month after the tenant moves out.
