A notice to termination a lease agreement either by a landlord or tenant is not due to the breakage of the terms and conditions but rather a decision made for other reasons. Depending on the State, the tenant or landlord may have to give the other party from fifteen (15) to sixty (60) days’ notice. The notice is usually sent via Certified Mail with a Return Receipt for legal purposes. It is recommended to keep the green slip the sender will receive after the notice has been successfully delivered.
