The Pennsylvania Rental Application Form is a form that most landlords will require any potential tenants to fill out. As an eviction process can often be long and costly, this can allow a landlord to screen any tenants they believe are incapable of maintaining the lease. The landlord has the option of charging a nonrefundable fee for this application.
In order to ensure that the tenant will pay the rent on time and in full, and that the tenant will be abide by all provisions of the lease, the landlord will typically request the tenants financial background (including both credit and work history) and references from previous landlords.
The tenant should prepare for this by bringing all relevant information; their social security number, pay stubs, previous addresses and the names and contact information for any previous landlord the tenant wishes to use as references.
